Earlier, there was no system in place for AADHAAR card download by name. Finally we have a system in place whereby we can check AADHAAR card status by name and download e-AADHAAR card by name online if it's ready. To download AADHAAR card by name,
If you know your
AADHAAR number and/or have the AADHAAR card acknowledgement slip that
was given to you at the time of registration, follow the instructions
below to download e-AADHAAR card duplicate copy online.
Go to the e-AADHAAR
online portal. Enter your registration details (Enrollment No. and Date
time, Resident Name and Pincode) from the AADHAAR acknowledgement slip.
Or if you know your AADHAAR Card number, select the "Aadhaar" radio
button from "I have" option at the top. To access e-AADHAAR online

Upon successful
entry, you will be sent a high security OTP (One Time Pin) password
through SMS to your registered mobile phone to download e-AADHAAR card.
Once you enter the password, you will be presented with a page with a
button to download AADHAAR card duplicate
copy in PDF format. The PDF file is password protected for your safety.
Your registered address pincode is the password to view the AADHAAR
card PDF file content. You can now take printout (in color, if possible)
of the downloaded AADHAAR Card PDF file and it can be used as your valid AADHAAR card proof.
If you DO NOT know
your AADHAAR number and DO NOT have the acknowledgement slip that was
given to you at the time of registration, follow the instructions below
to TRY and get duplicate AADHAAR card.
If you have lost
your AADHAR card Enrollment ID and don't know your AADHAR number, you
can get the AADHAR card by following these steps below:
- Go to https://resident.uidai.net.in/find-uid-eid
- Select appropriate option, "Aadhaar No (UID)" OR "Enrolment No (EID)", under "You want to receive your lost:"
- Enter your full name
- Enter your email address
- Enter your registered Mobile Number
- Enter the security code as displayed and click on "Get OTP" button
- One Time Password (OTP) will be delivered to your mobile and/or email address
- In the box below, enter the OTP you just received on your mobile and/or email address
- Click on "Verify OTP"
- Now you will receive a message on your mobile with your AADHAR card number or Enrollment Id as you selected in Step 2 above
- Now go to https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
- Select appropriate option, "Enrollment Id" OR "Aadhaar", under "I have:"
- Enter your AADHAR card number or Enrollment Id, full name, Pin Code, security text and mobile number
- Click on "Get OTP"
- One Time Password (OTP) will be delivered to your mobile and/or email address
- Enter the OTP you just received on your mobile in the "Enter OTP" box and click on "Validate and Download"
- Now you have downloaded your e-Aadhar card. Enter your Pin Code as the password when you open the PDF document
- You now have your e-AADHAR card, which you can print out
Contact UIDAI
through toll free number and try and find out your AADHAAR card
information by providing them your demographic information such as your
name, address, date of birth, phone no., etc.
Call the toll free
number and talk to the UIDAI representative about your lost card. They
will assist you with sending a duplicate AADHAAR card at your registered
postal address, to your registered email id and also can SMS you the
AADHAAR number details to your registered phone number.
If you are unable
to contact UIDAI over the phone / email, you may also contact your
nearby AADHAAR card regional office regarding your lost card. Bring all
the documents you had submitted originally to the office.
If none of the
above help, contact your nearby AADHAAR card center regarding your lost
card. Bring all the documents you had submitted originally to the
center.
However if you have
lost your AADHAAR card enrollment slip, getting duplicate AADHAAR card
may be a bit difficult, as there is no online system in place at the
moment to get duplicate AADHAAR card without AADHAAR card enrollment
slip.
