Kerala Postal circle earned Rs 3.25 crores for distribution of text books to schools throughout the state

• Kerala Circle is providing logistics support for distribution of text books to schools throughout the state for the last 3 academic years.
• The scope of the work involved Kerala Books and Publishing Society (KBPS) to transport and stock the bundles of text books at 14 district hubs.
• DoP to further distribute these books to about 3800 identified school societies covering all the 14 districts of the State.
• Last year the circle transported 2.4 crore text books weighing about 5000 tonns and Rs 3.25 crores earned as revenue.
